the restaurant: rasika.
the space: simple, but nicely decorated. and the tables were nice bid wooden tables, which was nice for sharing purposes. although the restaurant is much smaller than i had imagined (maybe that's why it's so difficult to get a reservation?).
the food: honestly, i'm not sure why i have gone through life saying i dislike indian food. the basic premise of indian food is meats, sauces, rice and bread. that's my favorite! we settled on a lamb and a chicken appetizer and did the same for our entrees. the appetizers were good - a few pieces of grilled chicken with some lamb and bean patties. the flavors were just great! and then our entrees were both curry dishes. i love curry! so much that i soaked up every last bit of the sauce with the rest of the bread. oh, and then there was dessert. i got the ginger honey ice cream - it was the perfect way to end off the meal!
the service: they did the whole rotating server thing so every time someone came up to our table it was someone new. my water stayed full and our food came out in a timely manor, so i guess that would mean the service was good.
the bathroom: nice and clean. there were private stalls with a giant mirror behind the toilet. kind of cool (i guess).
the most intriguing part of the whole place is their cocktail menu. i've heard nothing but great things about their bartender and can't wait to get back there to have some drinks at the bar (and have another meal, of course).
