what a great weekend! first was the celebration of oktoberfest at the german embassy. let's just say that drinking beer (and champagne!) out of a 24 oz. stein makes for a good night. and add that to the fact that there was an authentic german band and old guys in lederhosen.
and then it was time for the match up of the season - virginia v. maryland. after turning down tickets to the game (a night game in college park, no thanks) i settled into the new dogfish head restaurant in seven corners for a night full of good food, good beer and great football! and i even made it home in time to catch the end of the lsu game - wow.
and the heart attack weekend continued on sunday with the skins game. how they survived their fourth quarter meltdown i still don't understand. but no need to dwell on the negatives - we came away with a win!
and the icing on the cupcake? the hoos are now ranked in all of the polls - topping out at 15th in the bcs!
