yes, that julian bond. a week from tuesday (may 8th) he will be speaking in mclean. he'll be speaking at the mclean community center about how race, technology and immigration shaped today's music (aka "crossing the color line: from rhythm 'n blues to rock 'n roll"). it starts at 7:30pm and it's free. but (you knew there was a but), you have to pick up a ticket first. they'll start handing out tickets starting at 6:30pm and there's a two ticket limit per person. having had the pleasure of taking his class at uva, i highly recommend checking this out - this guy's a living legend!
