1. dan hass.
he's a "local" artist (he's from annapolis, but plays down here a bunch). and you can get a feel for his music on his website - he has about 25 of his songs (full, not samples) online for your listening pleasure.
2. taylor carson.
he really is local - like from arlington local. and he's even opened for dispatch! head over to his site and have a listen for yourself!
3. pat mcgee.
yes, i know that pat's been around for what seems like forever. but, haven't you heard that his new album just dropped?? (haha). of course i got my hands on a copy (only $10!) at their wolftrap show. and it's been in my cd alarm clock ever since. oh, and it's really good. i'm talking revel/shine good!
4. sons of william.
the lead singer of this band, joe stark, played w/ marc broussard on sunday night. clearly i discovered this band by some simple google stalking. and they've got a good southern rock thing going on. and they're currently on tour w/ the clarks. why couldn't they have been opening for the clarks when i saw them??
5. dave barnes.
you really have to see him live to get the full effect (you could youtube him). but, in the mean time you'll have to just settle for listening to his cds (i have both, clearly).
