as we were strolling through the city saturday night in search of our friend's house we stopped to notice the moon. it was a beautiful crescent shape - definitely my favorite! but, in addition to the moon there was a super bright star right next to it. we all noticed it, but didn't think much of it. and yes, nari clearly tried to take a picture of the spectacle. but, she failed miserably as she kept the flash on and refused to stop walking to capture the picture.
so we went on with the rest of our (somewhat ridiculous) night and didn't think much of the giant star next to the moon. it wasn't until the next morning when i was alerted that we had in fact seen venus! pretty cool, right?
and now the countdown to the long weekend begins...
