if you, like me, like to know exactly when the train is coming so you don't have to sit around waiting on the weekends then this will excite you. and i realize this might be old news, but i just figured it out today, so whatever. go to metro's station listing and click on the station you're leaving from. then click on "next train arrival" and a new window will pop up with look alike PID (aka passenger information displays) screens like they have in the actual stations. and the best part is it automatically updates every 30 seconds.
and remember how i was previously complaining about how long it was taking for them to fix the down escalator at the DL metro? well the signs said they would be finished in may 2007. so me being the metro pessimist figured they would finally reopen by the end of the month. well, metro surprised me and they opened up the escalator on the last day of april. shocking, i know. but, before i could start praising metro about their nice work they closed the down escalator the next day. it's not like i don't love taking the stairs (no seriously, i'm not being sarcastic) - but you'd think they'd space out the escalator repairs just a bit. i wonder how long this one is going to take to repair...
